Extremely Neglected W120 - Pointless?

The other day I discovered a W120 (or is it a W121) 4-door sedan at a junkyard. I didn't even think much about it at the time other than "damn, there is an old one". But then when I got home I did some research and found out how old it really was.

If I remember correctly, there was no major body damage, but beyond that I have no idea. Maybe I'll go back and take some pictures if I can get over there this weekend.

All that matters, from a restoration perspective, is underside rust. These cars are the earliest unibodies and the underside contributes the major structural strength. The vast majority of these cars are flinestone mobiles and need underside repairs which are wickedly expensive (I have a coupe that needs about 15,000$ worth of work, most of it below deck).

Some notable features of the old ones are the presence of a sunroof or the adaptation to being a wagon or pickup. These options are rare and desirable. The sunroof can be transplanted. Lots of money can be spent fixing a wagon and it will be worth it in the long run.

Thanks for your replies. I wasn't so much looking for myself as I was seeing if there was interest out there this old MB. Now that I know it's there, I'd hate to see it sit there and rot away if there is somebody out there interested in restoring one.

I'm going to go have another look and snap some pics.

Just a few days ago I posted about an ebay Oregon 219 parts car at the Yahoo Ponton group linked above. Strikes me that you need 2 in order to restore 1. Meanwhile something you might want to grab are chrome heat levers...... they fit 111's as retro upgrade replacing plastic/rubber levers.
