I can't believe that no one has bid on my cushion!

What's the deal with this? I would have thought it would be a nice to have for a bunch of W108 W109 owners.

W108 - W109 leather cushion

How could we, when that spectacular dirty, dried up little MB Tex piece is up for grabs for a mere $300.00!

I'd take it but I need the shorty in blue leather for my floor shift 108.

Just bought a shorty black one for $55.00 on eBay for my W111.

Too bad that moldy $300 cushion isn't blue! Otherwise it'd fit this pristine example of a poorly-done bondo bucket!

The pimped out in dash CD player really makes it for me. Very tasteful.

Interesting feature of those console cushions i noticed with 111 sedan..... With console pad in place the center armrest gets propped up high enough to be useful.

Ahh, but the aux cushion for my '60 Fintail came with the fitted, zippered storage pouch. Must be worth at least $600!

Happy Motoring, Mark

Ditto the W108. Props the armrests up to a slightly better position. I guess they were originally intended to allow you to squeeze a 3rd passenger in the front in a pinch, with the armrests up to form a backrest. Almost always missing nowadays. I’m obsessed with finding one for my 108, even though I’m selling it! I gotta get a life.

Yeah if you like the center arm rest then you've gotta have a console cushion. And both seats reclined in the 220Sb would fold into a bed. My '65 had a huge armrest that reached to the top of the seats in the up position. And it was just as thick as the seats themselves. Massive upholstery with no headrests before MB-tex. And the top of the front seats reclined would level with the back seat. The back seat itself is a few inches higher then the front seat, enabling back seat passengers to see over front seat passengers shoulders to get a better view of the road. Your coupe is probly the same way. I think fintail sedans have the best designed interior of any car ever built.

Tom, why do you characterize the ebay car as a bondo-bucket? I checked the photos and did not see any obvious body repairs. Of course, the front subframe mount(s) (can only see one from the top) look original and I see no underbody or suspension shots. What are they hiding?

sorry about the hijack Al

Passenger side behind front wheel well....... The seller LIES about repair from rubbing the garage door post that looks more like sloppy rust repair at an obvious rust prone spot on the 108 to the rest of us.

Yet even lying through his teeth and claiming California coupe prices, gotta love the fantasy poetry of this listing:

Heck, I've never heard the simplest mandatory $20 DIY repair sound so good. Aint sayin there are no 108's worth every penny of the asking price but this sure aint it.

(edit: Wait a minute, didnt we see the same ebay zero feedback blind auction from the same Chicago gangster last Spring - except the car was listed at an even more laughable $15k?

I wonder what other sins this car has. That really looks like a cheesy quick rust repair. Plus, for the money he wants, it shouldn't be a cleaned up turd.

Same car. Same auctioneer. Same rust holes on the front quarters and other spots. Same massive dent on the left front by the headlight. Slightly lower (but still absurd) asking price.

Edit: Check the images out. I've seen FAR worse 108's - mine is one - but it is not worth a dime over $4k in its current condition.
