w108 / w111 fuel pump compatability
Hello all, terrific forum.
Just a quick question. I'm in the process of searching for an electric fuel pump suitable for my 1967 w108 250se sedan. I've been able to locate one that came out of a w111 220se/b, (the part is marked 'm1022') that looks like it's in good order. Will this be compatible with my w108? According to the spare parts place, the pump was unchanged until 1969, true? Thanks for your help. (just another thing, I'm in Australia and he's asking A$450+gst, fair price?) |

yes. the pumps come in "short" and "long". They interchange. I think the long pump appeared in like '69, so yours and the 220se ones should be short.
Also, if you are more concerned with reliability than originality, you can get an early CIS pump and use that instead. I have a 500sel pump keeping my 6.3 running. It requires a little creativity to mount it, but it works. -CTH |

The pumps are also rebuildable ..... pretty simple impeller type pump.

yeah, would have liked to rebuilt it but it had been replaced by some dodgy aftermarket thing.
