transfering A/C to a non A/C vehicle W108 body

I have a donor 1970 280SEL that I want to rip the A/C out of and put in my 69 280S.

someone give me the 1-10 difficulty scale on this. and what they would be really worried about...

thanks

A better idea is to drive the one with A/C.

Seriously? Tearing apart the dash to put in the evaporator is major work. Not to mention the need to remove the rad to put in the condenser, which is child's play compared to the former. It can be done, but are you that patient?

Is it really that hot in 'MD'?

It's going to be 100 degrees (in your imperial) for the next two days here, and i'll still be relying on 'sommerbeluftung' + windows!

plus in these old cars, once it actually gets really hot, you've got to ask whether a) the airconditioner is really going to do anything, especially given residual heat buildup in all interior parts (assuming you're not driving straight out of a cool garage),
or b), whether it's worth the strain on the engine, and your wallet (fuel)
just my two cents, maybe i'm just sweltering and jealous
