Oil pressure gauge tube
While pulling the heads off my 450SEL I was careful with the plastic oil pressure gauge tube on the rear of the left cylinder head but broke it anyway, is there a way to repair these?

I wouldn't even mess with it. Being it is plastic, carries pressurized oil, and, worst of all, has been subjected to the heat of the engine for all those years, I would bite the bullet and buy a nice new flexible tube.

Didn't think about that part still being available, I love German cars. Is $44 a decent price?

These?
http://img.eautopartscatalog.com/live/A635015446.JPG $8.44/side at FastLane. If you mean the mechanical oil pressure sender... forget it.

I dont know if you're looking at the right part... but if it is, $44 sounds like a good price. I'd double-check with Phil - special order stuff like that is phone only - but it MIGHT be available from him.
