450 slc buying

Hi my mother just found a 1976 450 slc for sale what is a good asking price for this car? and what should i look out for? rust? mechanical? im a pretty good mechanic im definitly not a noobie but what should i look out for as in cost of parts.

It's impossible to say what a decent price is without knowing more about condition and mileage. In general, the SLC's are not in high demand, but parts an service are the same as for the SL's.

If it's an "average" car (100K+ miles, some cosmetic issues, minor rust, non-working AC, but OK mechanically), maybe $1500-$2500 depending how many issues and how bad they are.

Big problem with the 76 & 77 cars is that the catalytic converters are in the engine bay which makes it mighty toasty in there and pretty hard on the rubber components so check those.
