No I do not jest (I really didn't want to see this car go there, but....), and, sadly it has now been on Craigslist nearly the same amount of time as it has been on here (within a few days anyway) and has had just the same amount of interest, I really am surprised. I really liked it when I saw it but I just don't have the time for it to rebuild it.

Ron, none of my shop tools are out here with me. And where I'm stayin is hostile neighborhood for car work in the yard. Caint wait to git back home, probly late August at soonest. Betcha the Rolls shipper can haul the 110 for nearly nothin on the same truck.

1964 was excellent year for 110's - old enough for taxi cab signal lights amidship on fenders and new enough for disc brakes. The '64 190D engine probly has hollow camshafts with oil ports on lobes, another rarity. And yeah you're right 110's are my favorite old world Benz, but especially the 190c.

Open offer though, if anybody here finds Cali car they want driven East - then speak with me travelin that direction anyhow. Will probly leave the Moto Guzzi behind.

(edit: Based on sudden PM response here's my terms for everybody: Pay fuel and motel and I'll deliver California car anywhere East that ends up puttin me in Louisville area at end of the line. September timing is perfect. Present location is Reno/Tahoe area about 4 hrs from San Fran and 8hrs from LA. Formerly an over the road truck-driver, lifetime Vintage MB fan, this is cakewalk for me.

Professionals and collectors: For negotiable fee I will also scout and pick California cars yer interested in, attending auctions and arranging shipping etc. Y'all can put me to work acting as agent on yer behalf, knowledgable of Vintage MB's I wont steer you wrong.

there you go mustang, get a buyer on the east coast and have the buyer rent a dolly and truck and perhaps dog can get it delivered for you

I sure am tempted but just picked up a 450 SL ( 72) 541st one off the line, spent 1 year in Germany, and then to states

Dog, I sold my 220, took all of 12 hours on craigslist, got a nice example of a 72 450Sl to take its place

the D Jet 8 is nothing like the 220/8 but I am learning. Started a thread on her in the SL forum, under "1972 450SL, My new addition"
