Marker lamp Q
I just recieved a VERY nice pair of used W116 front lenses and housings, and I noticed that the lens color is quite a bit darker than what I'm replacing, looks MUCH better.
I'd seen word of how the darker orange ones are supposed to be euro lenses??? is this true?

Two colors of parking lights
The euro version is a darker amber, the USA is a pale amber.
Also, the USA version as a reflector built into the trailing edge, vice no reflector in the euro version. Those of you who have installed the aftermarket clear parking lens will also note the lack of a reflector on the trailing edge. This color variance has been consistent in all the W123, W124, W201, W126 and R107 cars I've had (and converted to euro lights). W114/W115/W108/W109 are a different animal, as the amber lights are under the headlight glass for the euros. Additionally, the euro parking lights will generally come with a single filament socket, since the city light feature handles the parking function. Double filament sockets will twist in with no problems for USA operation. Jim
