What colour is my interior?

Okay, I'm still trying to figure out what colour the inside of this car is. I've determined what colour my exterior is, but I'm not sure about the insides. I'm thinking it's tobacco. Anyone care to enlighten me?

Pardon the nastiness. I took the photo right after I bought the car, and no cleaning had taken place yet. I don't think the inside of this thing has seen any kind of cleanser in twenty years.

And for your amusement, I present to you a PO's solution to broken seat springs. It's an ornamental lawn edging brick!

I couldn't just leave the thread about a boring colour identification. What fun would that be?

Also, so you know, I picked up the first decent passenger seat I found, so that it may donate its organs to my driver seat, which clearly has been in need for a rather long time.

The interior color of your car, appears to be Cement Grey, and Camel, two tone...I love the Cement Grey inserts most of all though..

That thing must ride, like a brick $HI7 house though..

Actually, with the brick right on the outside edge of the seat, it's not terribly uncomfortable. Well, at least compared to the wife's Kia Sportage it's not bad.

I tried sitting in it without the brick one day, and the seat leaned so far down to the side that I nearly slid out of the car.

My 280ce is Milan Brown too, my interior color is close to that but a little more red. Being a eurospec the seats are cloth but the door panels look almost the same. Sienna?

Bamboo.

Palomino was a later color, started in 1980.

My car is listed as "congac" which makes no sense at all, since it looks... tan.

Leatherique is not a bad thing for the door panels but I'm afraid the "seat support" might require something stronger.

If it's the original interior you can check the color and colorcode of the interior using your VIN with this Vin Decoding System

Cognac is a tan colour that normally comes with little red specs. It's considered as one of the most exclusive colours. However you need to be careful when cleaning it with leatherique or any other cleaner as you may end up wiping away the red specs.

If it is brown like a football (as it appears on my screen) then it is Tobacco. Bamboo is lighter and a bit more "orangey".

That would be an awesome link if I had a 17 character VIN. Is there one that works for the older style VIN system? I've not found one, yet.

As for colour, I'm going to say it's definitely bamboo. Diarrhea orange may have been a more accurate description, I'm afraid.

Thanks for the assistance, folks!

I noticed the little red specks when I cleaned it as they weren't evident initally before cleaning. They are still there - and more uniformly so now.

I read mostly good reviews of Leatherique - and it worked pretty well for me.
