Angry Mouse Ate Wires

I have a 1975 Mercedes 240D Diesel Chassis 115. automatic transmission.
I pulled the dashboard off the other day and discovered a mouse house in the duct work and had a few wires got eaten.
My questions are: in back of the speedometer guage there are what appears to be capillary tubes, one blue double wire and one black wire , they are hooked to the AC grill and the other end the mouse ate , just white fiber hanging out of the wires The black has one to the other side of the AC grill .
Does anyone know about where the other fiber wires go?

Sounds like the fiberoptic cables that light the heater and AC controls. They start out in angled slots that are pointed at various light bulbs in the instrument cluster and end in the heater controls.

The only cap tube I know of is the oil pressure gauge line.

You are right on, it's a fiberoptics cable,I turned the light off in the shop and shinned my mini flashlight a the end of the cable and the dial lighted up on the AC
