The 108 is back on the road.

Couldn't find my old thread about my deer hit in May '06. Anyway, the 108 is finally back together as evidenced by the photos.

It is Horizon Blue, DB 304, IIRC.

Thanx for the compliments guys. Forgot how much I enjoy this as my daily driver ('til snow comes.) Even with gas at $3 gallon it is worth it

Good deal! We did a survey here couple of years ago and 108's were the most common daily drivers. Seems 108 drivers are rarely happy with anything else.

Yeah, it takes a Benz-head to appreciate it! I wanted "GR8 108" but Ohio would only make it in "GR 8108" format so I went with the chassis and engine designations.

Oh, and the (happy) kicker of this story is I pulled it altogether (with about thirty hours of my own unbilled labor) for almost exactly $3500 less than the insurance company check. WOOT!!

You did really well then - paying yourself over 100.00 an hour.

She does look lovely. And your plate is very clever.

So the deer must have been a mess?

I had one run into the side of a 90 Mazda 323 (read: tinfoil on wheels) and the dent was not near proportional to the damage to the deer.

I drove away. The deer did not.

Dunno -- State trooper could not find it!! Ironically, that is my second deer hit and the second where the damn offending animal cannot be viewed and spat upon...
