115 Rad hose

So I'm having problems with a leaking bottom rad hosein my 115 240D, not bad but when warmed up it weeps a little and there's a bit of spray from the fan. Doesn't use much coolant though. It doesn't look too bad but I can't tighten the hose clamp any more without stripping it. It's got a 1.2 bar cap btw.
So I'm going for a new hose. Only thing is the car had a 230/4 in it and I'm pretty sure when the conversion was done (long time ago) they didn't change the rad. So, my question is: Is the bottom hose the same diameter in a 115 230/4 and a 123 240D (the 240's from a 123)? If not which one's bigger or which one should I go for?

Also, on a separate note, I don't think they chaged the diff, anyone know a way of telling the ratio without getting under and counting the turns of the prop shaft against the turns of the wheel. Like looking it up? There seem to be two possible ratios for a 230/4

Thanks
Harry

Why don't you remove the hose and measure the OD of the nipples?

You can get universal flex hoses that have different IDs at each end for custom applications.

yeah that's a good point. Although are they as durable? Think I'll try it anyway, thanks
