Dome light removal for w108

My 1967 250S needs the dome light bulb replaced and could probably be pulled off and re-plated. I have no clue how to get it off. Does it just pop off? I didn't see any external screws.

mine falls out

If there is a way to keep a dome light in place, besides liquid nails, I'd appreciate it.

I'm not sure how the light is supposed to stay in the roof, but however that is, mine does not work...

I'd say, it's possible mine falls out specifically because somebody aggressively pulled it out in the past, so be careful.

If I found out, I'll let you know. It either has to pop off or it slides to one side or there's a way to take out the glass to get to the screws. I don't know if yours is the same as mine but my light has a slide like a bread box.

I've gotta echo tivoklr on this one. If anyone knows how to get them to stay in (gerry-rig type trick or something) please feel free to let me know.

As to how to get them out.....

Maybe there is a clip that mine is missing because I cannot see anything that held it in. If you try to pry it out be careful. Also, the electrical plug is on the left hand side so you might be careful there.

You may want to just count yr blessings that it's in there and forget about replacing the bulb. Don't know.

The famous "breadbox" dome light shared among 1960's Vintage MB's....... half-way open means car doors will light it up - full open and its manually illuminated. You need small thin flathead screwdriver to remove it. Probe for indent on right side, it oughta push to the left and then pry out downward.

This is state-of-art Vintage MB component built with surgical precision, shares bulb with rear dome light. You can scuff the contacts with sandpaper, it oughta help. And bend contacts tighter with extreme precision if you dare.
