Here is a pic of the con rod big end honing machine. Most rods get elongated and the big end halves need to be ground down. Then the honing machine is used to true the bore.




Here is a pic of some conn rods. The left one is a 220S M180 rod, the next one is a Porsche 944 Turbo rod, the next is a generic US engine rod and the one on the right is from the instructors Hemi race engine.
