Technical Ponderings
Has anyone seen the website Deiselgiant.com? The how to's on this site are amazing. My question is why aren't there more of these sites like this out there. My next question is would someone out there like to start a site that does the same type thing. Autorepairhowto.com would be a great name.I am in the A/V business and would love to be a part of something like this. I know if I was a die hard DIY, I would pay to watch a video snippet of an auto repair procedure. Just throwing it out there. We could be the next Google. Ha Ha

I was thinking the same thing myself, did Haynes ever get into producing DVD's of repairs? It makes so much sense.

Yes there are awesome DIY's on this site, but I was commenting on the way dieselgiant's was put together. There is basicaly a very sharp color picture with every instruction, so that dumbasses like me can even understand it. Actually makes it look easy. The thing about those Haines manuels is they are in black and white and grainy and don't actually show the procedure being done. As I mentioned earlier even little video's would be the bomb.I am talking to my videographer brother to see what we can come up with.

I suppose the other aspect is legal cover, free DIY suggestions on a forum is a long way from paid video instructions where you could be liable if you dont present work 100% correct. A qualified mercedes mechanic performing the work would be the starting point I guess.
