Temp Sensor Upgrades on 107 chassis

I've seen e-bay listings for temp sensors that actuate the aux fan at a lower temp. Has anyone purchased one of these?...do they work?...advisable?

Item 110186994155

Thanks, Matt

I learned long ago never to mess with the original MB design. W107 iron blocks are meant to run hot, they are more efficient that way.
Unless you are running TOO HOT them why mess with it

my concern is....

In these hot Alabama summers, (and remember, the catalytic converter is under the hood for this year)...the MB runs really hot. There were times I would be sitting at a traffic light and the temp gauge would be running close to red. After having several VWs that never rose up above the halfway mark, I got a little scared. I would sit at the traffic light, put the trans in N and turn on the heater...

Hmm, if you have ruled out all the other reasons for overheat, then it may help. radiator, thermostat ect,
You can always jump the fan to always on to see if it helps, ansd then purchase
