Were to buy Cut off valve?! (W115) MB Compact 200 -75

Does anyone know where I can get a new cut off solenoid for the stromberg 175CD carburettor? Im desperate about this, can anyone please tell me.

Since the solenoid is not "clicking" when voltage is put on the cable i assume it is defect. Below is a picture of my the solenoid, wich is shown in the bottom of the picture.

Are you sure it's not just a broken wire?

When I had a problem with mine, it was just a broken wire due to age and the exhaust manifold heat.

A little soldering surgery and heat shrink tubing and it was good. You can check it off the car just by applying 12 VDC and listening for the click.

Try a couple of straight pins poked thru the insulation right close to the solenoid. If you can get it to click with 12 VDC on those pins, then all you need to do is fix the wires. I think the solenoid itself is pretty rugged.

That repair on mine has lasted over 10 years.

Dainik, Thanks but I have already tried applying 12VDC. Nothing happens and the solenoid is sealed, nothing to do but buying a new one.

Does anyone know were I can buy a new one? I have searched all over the internet w/o a possitive result...
