Power steering pump needed 1977 Model LP608 OM314

I got my motorhome to idle, but it has a power steering pump problem now. Does anyone know where to get a good used one or rebuilt?? 1977 Model LP608 OM314 Thanks, Rich wvobenzs@yahoo.com

Rich,

Not too many of us maintain parts trucks......

You have any info like a part number or a pic of the pump?
It is quite likely that there is an interchange with other MB models of the same vintage.

Is this something that a hydraulic shop could rebuild with new seals?

I found some writing on the pump, it says: EATON. I am not sure where it was made, but I decided to take it apart. I found nothing that looked bad, or could cause the belt to slip, so I put it back on with a new belt. Now the batterys are dead, so I can't start it. I will charge the batterys, and let you all know what I find.

Not sure where you are located, but your local Napa should be able to rebuild it (or send it out to be rebuilt) for you.
