Thermostat Ratings and Brand Reccomendation for 6.9

My 6.9 runs warm as I am sure many of yours do as well. I was planning to change the thermostat to a 71C (159F) unit to try to keep the temps down when it's hot outside.

Has anyone else tried this using either he Behr or the Wahler brand thermostats?

It's best to check with the experts:

it could also be a clogged radiator either inside or out. I would suggest a new thermostat, clean the radiator from behind with a hose to clean it, and make sure the coolant it fresh.

I think that's what I have, I don't see an issue with it. I think my car may need a rebuild radiator at some time though because it still creeps up in traffic. The auxiliary fan keeps it under control.
