Duplicating factory undercoating 111

Hi,
I have some areas on my "71 111 that the original undercoating has deterioated. I wish to repair the areas to match the original. Is any one aware of a system of products that will duplicate the factory indercoating? It is a hard putty like material with a kind of yellowish coating. I asked on another forum and did not get a good answer. I don't want the repairs to be obvious but to blend with the original undercoating. 90% of the original is intact so I don't want to remove it and start over.
Thanks,
Tony

One product is "Wurth SKS Stone Guard". Best applied w/ their special gun, but brushable as well, apparently.

"SKS is a water base, fast-drying and flexible undercoating that matches OEM Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, VW, Audi and other European automakers’ “body schutz” or undercoating."

Vince @ MBCA sez: "Originally it was tan and was applied over a greenish gray primer that coated the whole vehicle."

Check out the line of 3M products at your local auto parts or auto paint store (or their website). They have products available in spray cans for many applications. I bought some rocker panel chip resistant coating after fixing a rocker panel on a newer Mercedes and it worked great, matched perfectly, and even could be bought in different textures. It could be painted over as well. I know they make other formulations for other areas of the car too.

Maybe not the answer yer lookin for but if it was me, I'd use marine grade dock paint - like black tar stuff for salt water wooden pilings. And then slop it over entire rockers, wheel wells, trunk bottom etc. Smart not removing the existing undercoat if it's intact.

One thing to consider is that apparently the original w111 undercoating didn't work too well! ;-)

Most of them are rusty down there...

Thanks for all the replys. The "Wurth SKS Stone Guard" sounds like it may fill the need but I will consider the other options.
