W110 190Dc exhaust hanger kit assistance
My replacement exhaust hanger showed up in the mail and it doesn't want to go together how I imagine it should. I assume the spacers go through the rubber parts and then through the slots in the bracket but the spacers are a little to big. Maybe someone has done this job recently and shed some light on this for me. I'm also not sure how exactly they want me to use the four copper-plated lock nuts and the two extra washers. EPC-Net diagrams don't seem to help that much either. Any help would be appreciated. |

Is that an mb part? It does look as if the sleeve should go through the slot. That beign the case the slot would need to be drilled out to accomodate it.

Call the classic center and tell them the parts don't fit and that they may have sent the wrong parts, the bracket that holds the exhaust pipe for instance.

A machinist friend of mine noticed that the spacers are not continuous. They have a gap down the side. He says this indicates that they are to be pinched together when assembled. This would also explain the loose fit around the bolts.
I'll contact the classic center for clarification but I think he's got it. Hopefully this will make more sense when I get it on the lift. |
