W114 M110 oil leak help?

Hi again, thanks for the tips re steering working on it as we speak, also wanted to ask about solutions to an oil leak in the M110, its just above the exhaust manifold where all the sensors bolt in (see pics) on the left side from the front.

Isthere anything I can check or re-tighten?

thanks again BI :-)

The M110's are notorious for cam housing seepage. You can re-torque the mounting bolts but don't over-tighten. It's a thin metal gasket which compresses over time. It only seems to occur (on mine) on the exhaust side, probably due to the extreme temperature changes.

I just figure it's part of washing my car to spritz this area with some engine degreaser and wipe it with a rag.

I am preparing to take care of the exact same problem on my 110 engine too. I would suggest retorquing the head first, then the cam carriage. (This from the advice of some fine folks on this forum). Of course, this will require adjusting the valves as well.
