touch up paint
Does anyone know where I can buy factory grade touch up paint? My color is G304 (horizon blue) but I don't know where I can get any.

I go to my local autopaint supply company and have it mixed according to the original formula. It is very high quality paint and a pint costs less than $20. I buy a variety of brushes, the smallest one has a brush about the size of pencil led. It dries very nice and shiny and for small areas not directly in the eye's line a touched up area with a brush is not very noticable as as it dries the brush marks tend to flatten out.
They will also put some in a spray can for me if I want for about $8 a can. I used this method when I did some repairs on my 82 300cd, leaving the original paint wherever it was good and after buffing the original paint it is very difficult for me to tell the new areas from the original areas ....and I applied the paint myself. I like being able to say that most of the paint is original, too. Tom W

I too have the "Horizon Blue" paint. I was able to pick up the paint at a local auto zone store. At first, I wasn't really happy with it, I could see the overlap of paint. I've gotten used to it now, and it really doesn't stand out next to the other body imperfections on my car. Even so, I would recommend exercising caution in choosing where to buy your paint. If I had my time back, I would have done a little more research and gone with a better quality paint.
