My mother used to find them used, tape them off and do them by hand all the time. They get stolen...

Does anyone have a lead on a locking mechanism for these caps, to keep them from getting popped off by thieves/losers?

I was liking the unfinished look until I saw the pictures. Now I am leaning towards painting them.

Painted for sure. Do you plan on cleaning up those tires, fenders and wheel wells? If not, it won't make much of a visual difference.

Haha, yes, I replaced the rockers and painted the car. I also painted the hubcaps.

Reminds me of dented-up "moons" - tacking in a tacky sorta' way...

It's like running around with primer spots all over the car...you just never have enough money to get the job done right...

Get 'em painted back to original color...or at least get them matched as close as possible to what your final vehicle's color is going to be...

And like 280EZRider and 450slcguy said..."Keep the tires clean..."

Nothing detracts from a great looking car like crappy-maintained tires...

Tough crowd. I painted the hub caps last year and I made sure I cleaned the wheels too.
