While you're in the bone yard collecting carb parts, I need a pair of the older solex's in rebuildable condition (already disasembled is fine).

Why? 'cause I WAS working on a web site that walked through a full zenith rebuild and was going to follow it up with the other carb types, but the hard drive that had all my intermediate work seems to have died. My last backup was a tad old and I lost a lot lot of photos dumped from my camera.

OUCH!
That's worse than a busted knuckle. Do you mean the solex carbs that are on a 220b? I have to ask, but I think I know where a pair are. Email me and we can discuss details.

Hi Christy,
I have not received my Hella anylizer yet. I hope that it's in the mail today. Then we can REALLY diagnose our fu@#ed up carbs!!! I am still driving the poor 250C. In this heat, the air blows from the engine compartment through the rustholes in the firewall and heats up the interior to a comfortable 140 degrees. Ugh, I am glad to be home. The car performed pretty well today, with only a little hesitation this morning. The rest of the day I could actually keep it in gear and drive like a regular person. Except when I was in a hurry...then it goes really really fast! Today I thought the car would look nice painted silver to accent the burgundy interior. Mercedes dreams.
