Does anyone know or have a list of which makes or models of cars had the AC servo unit similar to that in my 1980 450 SL? Mine's shot, and has been for a while, and i'm looking to replace it, but I don't want to drop the $600 yet on the digital bypass. I'd like to find one i a junk yard or something that I can use, at least as a temporary fix.

I was hoping to expand my search by looking for other cars, not just the benz, that has one that I might be able to salvage.

I just replaced mine in my 1979 300sd. I did not have any luck finding a cheap used one. I bought the digital unit. It was worth every penny, my acc works better than new. It was easy to install and I am hoping it last a long time.

I'll second the digital conversion. Why invest $400 + for a rebuild servo that could fail within a year or so?
