1972 MB 280SE 4.5 brake caliper

Hi all

Where is the best place to get a pair of brake caliper for my 1972 MB 280SE 4.5 ?
Mine are stuck.....

you've already replaced the rubber hoses? Old hoses will block fluid flow causing them to hold pressure.

www.********.com has a good line of rebuilt calipers.

Al Aliabassi might still have the ones from the car he just parted out if you want to go used rather than rebuilt.

Here is an easy hose test:

Jack wheel
Press brake hard and release
Hand turn wheel

If it does not turn, open bleeder.
If it now turns , caliper is Ok , but hose is constricted [ as CTH said, very common for old hose and very often mis-diagnosed]

I second the hose test and replacement. I had the same symptoms, put a new caliper on, and still problems. Replaced hoses and all problems gone. Unless you have new ones already, I would replace the hoses no matter what.
