Hoochie mama, that's one of my favorite Ferrari body styles!!!

Check with the guys at ferrarichat.com in the vintage section and they can tell you what'd be best for resale.

I wish I had the money to buy it!!! Believe it or not 5-10 years ago these cars were rather affordable!

For those not in the know, this is what that car looks like when fully restored:

Jeeze Loueeze, gotta post pics of this vintage pasta-burning mechanical marvel...

I was jokin about neetsfoot oil used for pigskin footballs - would probly open the pores on yer 'skin fuel line and then leak like a seive. If it was me I'd look for 3M waterproofing stuff used for outdoor furniture cushions, raincoats and whatnot.

I have seen that car before. Black with red interior is what my car was originally. Its now red with light tan leather.

Without the red brake drums!

Just in time! I was getting ready to soak it in neatsfoot oil!

Maybe I'll post pics tonight. I'm installing cams and distributors today.

Thanks. I'll post some pics when I get her together and clean.

I'm still hopig for insight on the pigskin line. The neatsfoot oil....will it swell the line like gasoline will? If so it may be ideal.

I had an inspiration today that the pigskin lines might be used in old aircraft too so I called a freind and he recommended another fellow who is into old aricraft, so maybe I can get some ideas from him.

I still like the idea of oil, and possibly one with a wax blend. The worst thing that can happen is the gas will desolve the oil. That is my thinking. I think because gas is oil based there is not a conflict between the two.

That fuel line is common on older Italian cars. My old Alfa had a few pieces. Maybe a place that sells restore parts for Italian cars can help.

I almost cried at Ace a little while ago when I found an elusive 7mm locking nut.

It is the only thing they sell in that size. I have these four studs on the back of the heads that take metal coolant lines and could not for the life of me find the nuts that went on them. I finally found one that went on well and tried a different bronze nut of which I had four so I thought that might be the one. While at ace I was scrutinizing the thread pitch and noticed my bronze nut had bad threads in it.

So I bought the 7mm and four extra when I got home they fit perfectly!

Only took an hour and a half to get the right nuts!

This car design was clearly the inspiration for the mgb. Just look at the front and back and side and picture a mg grill in front, the other sides are practically carbon copies, just shortened on the b.

I always liked the looks of the mgb but it was not until I owned this car that I realized it was a close copy.

Lots of cars are copies of Ferraris through the years.

MG used Italian designers. Pininfarina designed the MGB GT. The MGB was very advanced (monocoque structure) for its performance (90HP, 100+ mph) and low price when it came on the market in 1962. Of course it went downhill in the 70s.
