Swapping differentials
Hi guys,
The idea came to me about how to solve low gas mileage issues on my '77 280e and I thought of this: What about swapping differentials with various final drive ratios? Is there replaceability between different years and models of mercedes? If so, what would be a good and common rear end to look for in the junk yards? Thanks, -Troy

It will pull a 307. I did that in my us spec 280e some years back. It performs very acceptably but the mileage is still not stellar.
