I just took my dog to the low cost vet, he has heart worm which is why he is so inactive. I now have to take him to my regular vet for treatment.

Anyone had experience with that?

Yes, but I don't get cars from Seattle in my newspaper

I don't know how Al does it. I don't have enough time to keep 3 cars polished.

alabbasi,

When you make it to Seattle, give me a holler. I live three miles south of SeaTac and have a rust free but very ugly US spec '71 250C I've been trying to sell for years now.

I come up with an excuse and I sticking to it.

I been reading a lot of OCR'd ebooks and just sort of learned to ignore the weird punctuation and spelling. Yea, that's it.

That and it's raining marble sized rain drops right now and it may have affected my thinking.

Hey Ali,

Good on you for the dog.

If he has heartworm he was likely not seen by any vet on a regular basis. Caring owners get their dogs tested and treat with a preventative!

You may want to talk to your local breed rescue for Pits for advice on treatment.

You will need to keep him quiet during the treatment period. Basically the treatment causes the worms die in his circulatory system and decompose. Depending on his health, the extent of the damage and the amount of infestation - this can be really hard on him. Thats why the treatment is slow - you don't want to cause an embolism by having large numbers of worms in all stages of development die off in his circulatory system at the same time.

Rescue animals are the best! Almost as good as rescue 'Benz's!

Ann

Ann, It's good to hear from you. I named the dog Billy, apart from the heart worm he should be in great health. An appointment with the vet is scheduled next Friday.

I should be in Atlanta towards the end of the month to see Eddie Izzard. I'll let you know if you closer to the time, If you have some spare time, I would love to check out that fancy 4.5 of yours.

Hey Ali!

First if I knew Eddie Izzard was going to be in Atlanta I *MIGHT* have rescheduled my trip North!

Pending any other surprise mechanical surprises, Ms. B and I are leaving for New Hampshire on 6/17. We are returning 7/11.

If I DO have any other mechanical surprises, my departure date will be as soon as Mr. Hanson can get the parts shipped from the Classic Center!

I probably need to start a thread for the most recent work.

Billy is a lucky, lucky dog.

Hopefully he hasn't had any major cardio damage from the heartworm and he has a good recovery.

Ann
