Has anyone else seen how much this 115 is selling for? It looks to be in superb shape.

Pretty nice car

But it didn't sell so that high selling price didn't really exist except in the mind of the blow hard trying to sell it. It did have over a hundred thousand miles, and maybe well over. Who knows. It did have three owners, and it did get 20 bids, but still no sale. The seller liked it better then all the prospective buyers, and so for now, he is keeping it.

Well, it got bid up to $12k, so that price existed in the minds of some potential buyers as well. Who knows what the reserve was.

But fuel prices are doing crazy things to the value of oil burners...

still. . .I'd have never thought a 115 would call 12K, even in maple yellow, which is ugly IMHO. . . .If it was black, it would be better off. Clearly, the seller isnt a Mercedes guy, he would have known the market better if he was.

He makes such a point about the paint being original but, if I recall I don't think they painted the undersides like that - I would bet that car was resprayed and very recently. Even the jacking blocks are painted. How could they last like that for 30+ years? And, in some of the photos the trim is missing, like it was shot right after it was painted. He denies it was ever repainted but I would bet it was. Makes you wonder about how much truth was in that listing?

Hmm....it's one of Jimmy Francis' cars.....

He is a career reseller of cars for profit not necessarily diesels but obviously there's a silly resurgence of value for them and so therein lies the niche.
