'79 450 SEL Power Window help
My back window won't go up in my '79 450 SEL. I have a power-probe, but can't seem to locate the power wire for the window. any suggestions?

I would start with the switch. And then after pulling the door panel you'll see one black and one green wire going to window motor - both are positive yet flow current in reverse. MB switches send current one way or another depending on the window going up or down on the 116.
Must grease gears and the regulator arms too. MB installs them dry so they often jam and get bent. |

Start with the switches in the front on the console (not sure though whether your model has those there). Wires are short and connectors can wiggle loose now and then. It may even work on some days and not on others.

i would pull the door panel. You will see the 2 terminal screws on the motor. Jump them from a 18V cordless drill battery. You will know then if the problem is the Motor, or an elecrical issue.
