Question Please help me to identificate those numbers on my 220SEb convertible 1964

Hello my name is Jaka and I`m the one that is from Slovenia and I allready had some questions regarding my 220 SEb. I bought it from one Slovenian from Ontarion in Canada and just today I got it in my hands in our port.

So I would like to know if someone maybe can give me a little help regarding numbers matching and originality of this 220SEb convertible. Especially I don`t know how to know about engine numbers.

Let`s start with VIN number that is on the vehicle certificate: 11102310029345

(When we were doing custom duties I show that number that was stamped in metal under intake manifold and that was what they needed, it was matching with documents. Thanks Wbain for your help, I would be frozen without your help!)

Number on the engine: 1271411701 + I saw 22.3. 62 (year?)+ 153624

Where exactly I have to look for all numbers that aren`t on the documents but on the car? Like engine numbers, color numbers, VIN...

Thanks and please help me with this matter.

Jaka

11102310029345 is actually

111.023-10-029345

Here is the designation key:

111 -Chassis Model- 220SEb
.023 - Type - Cab./Conv
1 -LHD
0 -Manual Trans
029345..Serial #
That Chassis came w/127.984 type engine.

The Mercedes Classic Center [D] has a free Data Card service for that car.. Give them the VIN and they will send you the production Data Card with every option and code for that particular car as it was ordered and produced.
Very nice to have..I am surprised it did not come with the documentation.

Question

At first of all thank you very much for your answer Arthur Dalton.
So please tell me what I ahve to do to get this free Data card, do you maybe have also some telephone number that I would call them, or I have to send them the VIN number through fax?
I also speak a little bit german, so I think that it would be OK to call them first.
Do they have also some internet website?
Arthur may I also ask you if you maybe know for some shops or some persons that are dealing with w111 parts in Germany?

Thanks and please answer me,

Jaka aus Slowenien
