Hi All,
I just purchased a W111 250SE coupe. The car hasn't really been used much for the last 8 years so I have a few urgent things to do like tires, but one small annoyance I noticed driving it home was that the center rear view mirror can't stay up. If I adjust it, it just flops down in a very limp way.

Any good suggestions on how to make it stay up?

Try flipping the small 'night glare' lever at the bottom of the mirror stalk.

Thanks for the suggestion - I tried that and inside the mirror the glass moves, but the mirror hangs low enough that i still just see the back seat

If i adjust it up, its so loose that it falls back down in a matter of seconds.
