Can anyone give me tips on buying Mercedes-Benz parts from eBay Germany or other countries? I live in the USA and sometimes see the parts I need in foreign countries.

I use a translation program to convert the German to English and I can convert English to German. I can also convert euros to dollars to see how much a part is going for.

I will read the entire item description and plan on asking the seller (in two languages) if they will ship to the US.

How would I go about paying for parts? Does PayPal convert dollar funds to Euros for me? What's another good way to go about payment?

Most of the parts I need are small, so I think shipping will be affordable.

I always ask the seller first if he'll ship to the US and ask for an estimate to my zip code. I also write it in English, but I've never had a problem with a response. Some are a bit nervous over there about selling to the US on ebay, that's why I ask the question first. Personally, I've bought a few things - never had a problem. If you pay with PayPal, PayPal will convert it for you.

Thank you, all, for the information. I am happy to know that PayPal will convert dollars to Euros. I just bought a set of window regulators from Germany and the seller seems friendly and speaks English. Shipping is only 42 Euros ($61), which is reasonable in my opinion.
