108 heater control cables

The two heater cables (which attach to the posts of the climate control levers) have strange bends at their respective ends. The normal twist to fit over the posts is fine-it's what comes afterwards before the cable enters the wire housing which seem out of kilter.
Any advice on what to do here?
Thanks,
MBG

Both of the heater control cables were disconnected when I removed the heater control assembly. I was unsure if the existing bends in the cables were from the factory as I remember reading a post somewhere in regards to this issue. For your information I straightened the cables and installed them this way. Both heater control cables ( attached to the heater core) are working fine.
