Automatic to Manual conversion 1968 230s finished

The conversion went pretty well, easier than expected.

Driving the manual again is dreamy. I love it! I can pull into traffic again like I mean it. The shifter feels great with no play in it.

There were a couple notable issues.

For clarification I was putting a 1967 230s manual transmission in a 1968 230s automatic.

We had to cut out the sheet metal on the center hump on the 1968 to accomodate the manual linkage. You have to re drill holes to fit the manual stick assembly. The holes and the position of the shifters aren't quite the same.

Also, we had customize the rear support bracket a bit to fit the holes on the 1968.

Other than that all the parts transferred over to the 1968 just fine.

I bought:

New slave cylinder part # 0002951907 --$110 (note, there are many cylinders that look almost the same. double check your part number.)

New rubber hydraulic line to the slave cylinder from Millers $45
shifter bushings two on the ball of the shifter, two where the linkage goes into the transmission. Those seemed kinda over priced I probably paid close to $40 for those 4 parts plus I think $18 for the shifter boot.
Throw out bearing # 0009814325 --$122
Clutch disk # 1861515336 --$91
Pressure plate # 0002509604 --- $208
Pilot bearing $8
After doing research used Automotive Fluid Dexron III / Mercon to replace the manual transmission fluid.

I bypassed the instrument cluster light to always be on as well when the lights are on.

I still need the carpet that goes over the center hump in red if anyone has a line on that single piece.

It's not too bad, but I still need to replace my rear universal joint, but have had trouble finding the right one. The vin is 111010 10-103190 if anyone can lend a hand. All the ones I find online say #1114100031 For models with chassis serial number through 10-048016(M/T). Or they give another part number for driveshafts with non-replaceable u-joints, but that one doesn't look right. Miller's said it was this part number 1114100031. But when we got that through worldpac the heads were too small. Do I have the u-joint that came as part of the driveshaft?
