Need needle valve

I rebuilt my 35/40 Zeniths about a year ago and now the needle valve on the front carb is sticking. I think I used one of those Royze kits.

Does anyone know where I can buy just the needle valves? Are the Royze kits just not good enough quality?

I guess maybe I would like to not get the Royze needle valves.

Thanks
Eddie

needle valve

the needle valves used in INAT 35/40 Zeniths are the same ones used in the VW beetles with solex carbs. all 60's to 70.model.

I have on occassions cured a a leaking needle valve by pouring in a few drop of brass polish and spinning the pin clockwise and Anticlockwise while keeping a light pressure. Best is to get a new one.

Thanks Mak. What do you mean by "Anti .Best is anew one." Do you mean turn the pin back and forth, but a new one is better?

Do you know if I can just by the valve anywhere. I am only finding full Solex kits online.

Eddie

valve

Hi try the JCwhitney catalog for VW's parts.
They also do carry a excellent carb -synchronizer .German make around $30.
Been using that for years - with a simple home made pipe adapter that sits on top of the whole carb .
reread old post ,corrected.

I tried Jc Whitney with no luck. I'll have to try Mercedes.

I saw those $30 adapters, but took the advice of some posts and used the $2.50 Cool Whip container. It did work great.

Thanks
Eddie
