79Mercy: Either it was too warm when you painted, or you were holding the can too far away from the wheel when spraying...try laying to paint on a little thicker, and don't let it dry so long before you put another coat on. I just wait for it to get tacky.

Not at all. I had mine stripped and polished 3 years ago and have kept them clean with water and occasionally a glass cleaner. They are just now starting to show a little crud around the rim part only. For that, I was give by the wheel place a tube of polish for touch up, which I plan to use once it gets a little warmer here in Cincinnati.

79mercy if you used a new can the second time you might have picked up the flat version of their metallic instead of the gloss cause thats what it looks like in the pic. the cans cap will indicate this difference.

The Duplicolor that I used was T178 Silver. This was recommended by others and it looks as close to original as possible. So far it has held up well. Not sure whether it was a lacquer or non-lacquer paint but I had to change out the original Duplicolor clear-coat that I had purchased because it was not compatible.

The second coat was done with the same can. I realy don't know what the problem was. I get another can and just sand the wheel down and start over. O'well, its not the end of the world.
