Ignitor 1 for V8 calls for a 1.5 ohm coil.
Look at the site I listed ..that gives coil applications for all Perts.

15 is Ign
30 is Bat B+
50 is starter solinoid

You want 15... if you don't have 12v at 15 , but do have 12v at Battery, then suspect is Ign Sw.

Well I'll be damned, I got some spark! After rewiring as you guys explained, I first removed the wire from the coil to the dist and had sparks coming right out of the top of the coil! sweet. put the wire back on but didn't get the engine to start. It's been a while but I know that I have a solid engine. Will pull the plugs tomorrow and double check a few things and I should be able to get the 4.5 to start. Will let you all know. Thanks again!

Like I said, you were grounding the coil BEFORE the module...the coil gets grounded BY the module..but you were shorting the module out of the circuit..........Simple.
..and you are lucky you did not burn up the coil....
