'67 250 S Glove box lock - Help
Any great ideas on how I can get into the glovebox if my only key does not turn in the lock?
The button is down almost flush with the housing now and I don't know how to open it. should it turn clock wise or anti clock wise? Half rotation/full rotation? Any help appreciated. Loz

it's not just stuck in the dash because of spilled food or drink is it? . the glovebox key is the same as the trunk key. Get a competent lock smith to make you a key to fit the trunk lock and you are in Business.

Ah, perhaps you missed my early thread where I explained my Boot lock is FUBAR bigtime. I've over come that with a temporary fix (the type that become permenant over time....) and looking for a plan for the glove box. once open I'll remove the lock I think but how to get it open?
Anyone got pics of the glove box open showing the lock? would be much appreciated.

First try some pPB blaster in the lock and assembly. The smell will evaporate pretty quick. If that doesn't work, send your VIN to thomas.hanson@mbusa.com and ask for the car's data card. Do it by e-mail and you'll get all the numbers for your car, including all keys. Go to a dealer and get a new trunk/glove box key, they are 11 bucks, cheaper than having a competent locksmith (if you can find anyone competent these days) make you one. If you can't find anyone local to do it, send me the VIN and I can get it done for you. s
