73' 450SE Seatbelt warning system repair
I am trying to track down the gremlins in the seatbelt warning system on my 73’450SE. The light and buzzer are not operating as of right now, but the immediate problem is the passenger seat. If there is any weight over 25 lbs on the seat, the car will not start. If I have passengers in the seat, they have to raise off the seat to have the starter engage. Not to impressive for date nights. I wanted to know if I can disconnect the sensor in the passenger seat for now till I trace down the other problems first?

You'll have to figure out which version you have but it should be a simple thing to disable it. The interlock systems were not well received and procedures to disable them were approved by most manufacturers within a few years.
