What To Glue Broken Door Seals With?

The door seals on my 1979 300SD are trashed. I checked prices on new seals and the dealer wants a little less than $800 for all four. I can get APA, Meyle, etc. for cheaper, but hear they do not hold up well.

I pulled a set of 4 door seals that were in like new condition from a parts car, but two of them broke on removal (in a spot that looks like the ends were fused together at the factory). What should I use to glue the ends back together?

Thanks. Hopefully it can take the slight amount of tension that is on the seal, though the track that it fits into on the door probably holds it in place well.

Losi Tire glue- sounds interesting- I need to check it out.

I have had some success with that polyurethane glue. I have used it on rubber tie rod end boots and it seemed to work you might try that if you have some around already.

I used Flash brand tire glue from the hobby store and it worked well. I then used some windshield sealant over the seam. I'll see how they hold up when I install them.
