I am looking for the rubber threshholds for all four doors. I have tries Parts Shop and others. I hope not to have to go to the dealer. The Italian marble floor in the service bay amazes me. Part number(s) 115 686 (09,10,11,12) 80. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Steve

There was a long discussion about this on www.mercedes-veterans.com a couple of weeks ago. Apparently there is a commercial product that is a pretty good match.

I have had great luck obtaining parts from Caliber Motors in Anaheim Hills, CA. They are very accomodating to those of us with "vintage" MB's, know their stuff, and offer better discounts than any dealer I've found. Finally a dealer parts dept. that cares about us "vintage" guys!
Call 800-252-6877 and ask for Al. He has been a great help to me over the last year with my 108 restoration. Hope he can help you too!

I have also used Caliber.

The grill for SEC was $200 cheaper than my local dealer. They shipped it next day air for $14.00 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For trim parts you can`t beat them.

BTW -

I tried American Service Center for the threshold covers for my 280C. No luck, including the Classic Center.

Anyone have any luck with a source?

Chuck
