Rebuilt ACC Servos

You used to be able to get the rebuilt aluminum housed ACC servos pretty easily. Now it seems like many suppliers have dropped it from the catalogue. Anyone know why?

It's odd, because they seemed to coming down to a reasonable ($275 retail) price. My wholesaler now only sells the UT kit and so do many of the web guys. I'm not a fan of laying out that much money and a friend had issues installing a UT kit in his 6.9 which deters me from spending the money.

I have always wondered how that UT piece works.... Id much rather have an origional....

I have 2 in untested condition that are quite promising.... but I seldom drive my SL-C and the ac, even when it had a good servo was never used. Windows down all the way...

I am hoping that my servo holds on long enough so I don't have to replace it anytime soon. The UT version seemed like a logical choice since the W116 has fallen out of favor and it's not like many people are restoring W116's nowadays.

Where were the rebuilt aluminum body units coming from? Someone was building them.

A gentleman called George Murphy who is a moderator on the MBCA forums was building them. I'm not sure who else.

Well they could be listing it for $35 bucks, but it won't make a difference if they don't stock it!
