W123 Electrical Problem

Have any 123bies ever had this problem: Turn signals dead (hazard works) and Water Temp & Fuel gauges dead. All fuses good and everything else electrical works.

79mercy is right about fuse 12. I rechecked it and it was still OK. I then decided to move it around in case of a bad connection, and that solved the problem. I can't really explain it though. I'm still using the same fuse and there wasn't any visible evidence of a bad connection or corrosion. It's great when these minor problems repair themselves.

The fuse probably had a small hairline crack in it and when you removed it you closed the gap. I'd just replace the fuse...

Those type fuses wind up with as poor connection at the holder surface...so the fuse looks great, nut the connection in the holder is the fault..which is why we say to SPIN the fuse......

The correct test on these is to use a 12v lamp/meter to ground and BOTH sides of the fuse, with the test points being the holder clips , not the fuse ends.

I've done this test before to check the fuse terminals (hot side), but not a fuse. It makes good sense. Thanks for the tip.
