Thumbs up Great drive !

Hi all ,

I just have to share this
We went on a weekend trip what I saw as a great testdrive after all things done to the car.
The brakeproblem is definitivelly over !
The car drives absolutely great,no strange noises anywhere and the feel off power when stepping on the gaspedal.
And after doing some math I come up with about 10 km for 1 ltr of fuel which I find a good result ( 25 miles/gallon )
This was a great weekend

Post /8

Rene

I have to say that I admire your enthusiasm to the beloved /8. I myself have one and find it difficult to find fellow /8 owners who share our affection for the body style. Here in Manila where we have an active Mercedes Benz Club, there are only 2 /8 that show up on a regular basis. More power to you and the /8.

Wow, 10km/1litre of fuel is really good (on a M115 engine), did you do a overhaul on your engine? My M102 engine could only manage about 8-9 km/L on its original engine!!

Benzie:
No I didn't do an overhaul, I just made sure all filters are clean and renewed when neccessary. And I added Slick50 what made it just a bit more economic start a little better and run a bit smoother.

Christy: You will get there I'm sure, you have been on that car for such a long time I just know you will get it in great running order.
And then the fun will start !
