Need help with Solex 4A1 to Weber 38DGAS Conversion
Hello All,
If you don't mind, if you have done this conversion on your M110, could you post some pictures of your installation? I am having a heck of a time trying to understand the wording in the manual that was supplied with the kit, and it does not help that I am a very visual learner. I will follow up with a side by side shot or two of the old and new carburetors later tonight, maybe you guys can help me by showing me how the connections transfer from the Solex to the Weber. I know I am asking a lot, but I really appreciate your help. Thank You!

Hi,
I had a 73 280C. I had trouble with the solex 4a1 and replaced it with a weber 38 DGES kit from redline weber. The redline weber instruction manual is horrible, had trouble too. I read that the JAM weber kit is much better! The final result with the weber redline kit was not very good, car started well and didn't stall but I had a hard time to get rid of an annoying lag or gap when accelerating from a stop. I since sold the car (and lost money doing so). I had posted a thread with pictures, hope this helps. weber conversion results-long post Last edited by bluebenz; 06-28-2009 at 01:07 PM. |
