Looking for 300D motor for w115

I am looking for a good motor for my 1975 w115 300d. I tried to rebuild mine, but things didn't work out so well and I just want to plop in a motor that works and be done with it. So . . . if you have a motor in good condition, please post something to this thread or contact me via email. Ideally I am looking for something that has been compression tested. I live in upstate NY

Thanks,

Brian

How about a 300SD turbo diesel motor? It should be a drop-in fit, exhaust might need a little welding though. -CTH

300SD turbo wont fit due to oil filter housing position. I have one for $750.00 Perfect compression and under 200k miles that can be heard running in the car. If you're in need of it, call me at 407 765 2867. This engine is really, truly nice.

From the standpoint of an honest MB technician, Vegetable oil is a threat to your diesel engine's mechanical integrity.

Filter pointing up vs down?

I presume you can't swap the non-turbo filter setup because the turbo one has more demands (and more fittings)?

Thx -CTH
