Question w114 dash vent levers

I'm assuming these break pretty regular since all three of mine broke in the space of a month of use. Haven't pulled them out, center one looks like a bother. Fixable with epoxy or such or replace?

Wolf, are you talking about the side vents, the center vent, or the heat/defrost levers? If it's the outers, just replace them. They're inexpensive. I can't speak to the center, as I've not had a problem with that one. They all should work very easily though, without using force. There is an adjustment inside the center vent that controls how much the flapper moves. Should be just a slight tension as it's moved to the far right (passenger side). The heater/defrost levers shouldn't be a problem either, but can become hard to operate. I just changed mine for a bad high speed position on the blower switch. No problems with the levers, but I've also just rebuilt the heater control valves on the firewall. It works much easier now. The control valve o-rings were toast.

I think I have a center vent. If you feel like you want to tear into your dash let me know

It's the cut-off levers for the side and center vent. It's funny, they all worked easily save for the drivers side that was dead. Then the pass side, went, then the center. Neither ever got stuff, just quit working. The vent position and temp levers are stuff but work alright.
